TDAC Arrival Card (Free)
Submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card at tdac.immigration.go.th within 72 hours before arrival. It is completely free. Beware of copycat fee-charging sites. Save the QR confirmation screenshot on your phone.
Proof of Living Funds
Officers may request proof of sufficient living funds. Carry approximately 20,000 THB per person (or 40,000 THB per family) in clean cash notes or verifiable liquid bank balances.
Onward Flight Booking
Airlines and border officers can require evidence of departure from Thailand within your permitted 30-day stay. Keep your booking confirmation accessible.
TM.30 Address Receipt
Your hotel or landlord must file the TM.30 residence notification within 24 hours of check-in. Keep a copy of the receipt; you will need it to process your 1,900 THB extension.
Land Border Limits
Visa-exempt land border entries are capped at twice per calendar year (passport holders of Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, and Singapore are exempt from this cap). International airport arrivals are not subject to the 2-entry land limit.

8. What You Cannot Do on a Visa Exemption

- ❌ DTV Is Not For Teachers: The Destination Thailand Visa is strictly for remote digital nomads working for overseas companies. It does not permit employment in Thai schools.
- ❌ No Rolling Land Border Runs: Visa-exempt land entries are limited to twice per calendar year. You cannot use repeated border hops to maintain continuous residency.
9. After You Land: The Transition Sequence
