Ask your Thai co-teacher or head of department whether students may use phones in class. The school decides.

Check the Wi-Fi
Live Kahoot needs an internet connection on your laptop and on every device that joins. Test the school Wi-Fi or a hotspot before class.

Start the live game on the projector and show the game PIN. Students join on the Kahoot join page (kahoot.it).

Use Teams
Put three or four kids on each phone in team mode, so every child talks about the answer.

Stop after each question, read out the right answer and go over the common mistakes before you move on.
Tip: let the teams pick short English team names. It helps them stay friendly.

If many teams chose the wrong answer, ask why. Put the missed word on the board and use it in a sentence.
Points Matter Less 🏆
The scoreboard is for fun. Do not let it rush you. A calm pause is worth more than a fast finish.
Kahoot in Class Questions
Can I use Kahoot without checking the phone policy?
No. Check your school's phone policy first. Some schools allow phones in class with teacher direction, some do not, and the school decides. Ask your Thai co-teacher or head of department before you plan the game.
Does live Kahoot work offline?
No. A live game needs an internet connection on the teacher's laptop and on every device that joins. Check the school Wi-Fi before class, or use a hotspot, and keep a paper or board activity as a backup.
What if the students do not have phones?
Project the PIN on one screen and use team mode. Put three or four kids on each phone, or use a school device if your school allows it. Every child can still join in by talking through the answer.
Why use teams instead of forty solo logins?
Teams need fewer devices, and kids talk about the answer before they choose. Shy learners often find it easier to answer as part of a group. Forty separate logins on one school network is also a lot to manage.
Is Kahoot free for teachers?
Kahoot has offered a free plan, and multiple-choice review is often possible on it. Features, limits and prices change, so check current plans on Kahoot.com. Kahoot is an independent product and is not run by KET.
Why pause after each question?
The pause is where the learning happens. Read the right answer aloud, ask why the other choices were wrong, and note the words the class missed. Points matter less than the review.
