Thailand TM 6 Arrival & Departure Card Guidelines
Understanding the Thailand Arrival & Departure Card TM 6
Note: The Royal Thai Immigration has stopped issuing the TM6 at the airport, but not at land borders.
When entering Thailand, one entry requirement is to submit a completed Thailand Arrival & Departure Card (immigration form) at the Thai Immigration Booth. This is called a TM 6 form or a thailand entry card. The tm6 is an immigration form that Thailand uses as entry requirements to Thailand.
The immigration forms, including the Thailand entry card, are in English, enabling easy completion. The tm6 entry card is a requirement regardless of the type of visa you enter Thailand. If you have a tourist visa, Non-B, Non-O from a Royal Thai Embassy, completing the tm6 entry card is still required.
The airline crew customarily hands out the Thailand Arrival & Departure Card forms (tm6) during all international flights. Also, at land borders when crossing into Thailand. You can save some time at the airport and complete them before landing.
If you don’t get the card during your flight, don’t worry, as you can find plenty of them on tables just before the immigration booth, and you can complete the form before you hand in your passport, etc...
Due to the travel restrictions being rolled back since July 2022, entering Thailand is back to pre-pandemic ease. Unvaccinated travellers can enter Thailand, take a PCR or an ATK test, and await the test results. You can leave the airport/immigration checkpoint if the test result is negative.
Completing the Arrival Card
On the Arrival Card, you must provide your Surname, first name, and middle name.
You will need to tick a box that suits your gender.
For nationality, write the name of your passport’s country.
Your passport number should be written clearly, and ensure it matches your travel document.
Your date of birth should be filled in DD-MM-YYYY date format, meaning that the day comes first, then the month, and finally, the year.
The Visa Number can be found on your Non-B visa in your passport from the Royal Thai Embassy.
Your occupation is a Teacher.
Length of Stay – 90 days
The address of your residence in your home country, city, state, Province, etc.
When providing your address in Thailand, please write your or your school’s address.

At the time of your arrival, the completed arrival section of the form will be taken by the immigration officer, and the Departure Card will be stamped and given back to you. It would be best if you kept it with your passport; it is recommended to be stapled into it, so it doesn’t fall out.
